Friendship Ventures Adds New Board Members
We are excited to announce that Greg Johnson, Leonard Schultz and Mark Steen have joined the Friendship Ventures Board of Directors.
Greg Johnson has known about Friendship Ventures for several years, as a neighbor to a current family whose daughter has used our services. Most recently, Greg attended one of our Friendship in Action tours at Camp Friendship and was impressed with the commitment of the staff. As the former owner of a chain of 43 Big Bear Stores, he brings a business background that will benefit his work on the board and as a member of the building and grounds committee.
Leonard Schultz is the father of a Friendship Ventures participant. Leonard and his wife Michelle have shared their story and the importance of our services at our summer staff Recognition Day and through the Friendship in Action initiative. As a surgeon and founder of a medical equipment manufacturer, Leonard provides a medical, business and, most importantly, parent perspective to our agency.
Mark Steen, a financial analyst with Blue Rock Advisors, became involved through his love of golf. Mark has golfed in our Jolly Open Golf Tournament for a number of years. He joins the board of directors of the Friendship Foundation as well as Friendship Ventures. He hopes to help the agency raise more scholarship dollars through a new golf tournament to benefit Friendship Ventures July 18th at Rolling Greens Country Club in Hamel.

Friendship Ventures is a non-profit agency that creates unique educational, recreational and social opportunities for people of all ages with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. We also offer conference and retreat services and professional team-building programs to the communities we serve. Friendship Ventures operates Camp Friendship near Annandale, MN and Eden Wood Center in Eden Prairie, MN.
