Additional Golf Tournaments to Benefit Friendship Ventures
It’s not too late to play golf and help support Friendship Ventures programs this summer. There are two more golf tournaments remaining. The Jerry Schoen Memorial Golf Classic is August 29 at Wild Marsh Golf Course in Buffalo. This is the fifth year that the family of Jerry Schoen, a former member of the New Hope Lions and brother of a Friendship Ventures participant, has planned the golf benefit.
This year Majors Sports Café restaurants are hosting a golf classic to support Friendship Ventures, also August 29 at Deer Run Golf Club in Victoria. Bob Carlson, one of the owners of Majors, has a daughter who has attended day camp at Eden Wood Center. He wanted other kids to be able to have the same great experience his daughter had.

Friendship Ventures is a non-profit agency that creates unique educational, recreational and social opportunities for people of all ages with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. We also offer conference and retreat services and professional team-building programs to the communities we serve.
