New position expands recruitment efforts for volunteers and seasonal staff.
Sam
Clingan joined our staff at
Friendship Ventures as the Program Manager – Volunteers & Human Resources.
Sam will focus on expanding our efforts to recruit and manage the 300+
seasonal staff and volunteers we rely on every year to operate programs.
Sam began as a seasonal employee, working five summers as a counselor, state park trip leader, ropes course facilitator and wellness director at Camp Friendship. As Wellness Director, Sam relied on specialized training to provide massage and reflexology services to help campers and staff.
In his new position he recruits volunteers and seasonal employees. He works to establish and maintain relationships with organizations that also work with teens and students, like schools, churches and other nonprofit groups. Working together, they create volunteer opportunities that are both meaningful for the youth and helpful to Friendship Ventures.
Friendship Ventures is a non-profit agency that creates unique educational, recreational and social opportunities for people of all ages with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. We also offer conference and retreat services and professional team-building programs to the communities we serve. Friendship Ventures operates Camp Friendship near Annandale, MN and Eden Wood Center in Eden Prairie, MN.
