MTS Employees Volunteer at Eden Wood Center

A group of employees from Eden Prairie-based company MTS spent a day at Eden Wood Center cutting down and removing diseased elm trees. The company sponsors a Week of Caring during its United Way campaign, allowing employees time off during the workday to volunteer at area nonprofits. A group of 18 employees brought their chain saws and wheelbarrows and removed three trees with Dutch elm disease. Another group, from the company’s marketing department, chose to cut down another two trees together as a team-building exercise. Friendship Ventures appreciates the help and the chance to get to know our corporate neighbors in Eden Prairie.
Friendship Ventures is a non-profit agency that creates unique educational, recreational and social opportunities for people of all ages with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. We also offer conference and retreat services and professional team-building programs to the communities we serve. Friendship Ventures operates Camp Friendship near Annandale, MN, Eden Wood Center in Eden Prairie, MN and Camp New Hope near McGregor, MN.
